OPENING NIGHT: 2020 CAPEZIO A.C.E. AWARDS - CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION
Wednesday, January 15th at 8pm
Get the chance to experience the top 28 emerging choreographers, as they compete for a $15,000 prize and the opportunity to choreograph their own show! Each contestant will present a 4-minute piece of choreography to a panel of note-worthy judges. Past judges have included big names in dance such as Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Desmond Richardson and more!
SECOND NIGHT: ERIK SARADPON
Thursday, January 16th at 8pm
Past Capezio A.C.E. Awards winner, Erik Saradpon, will bring his energizing hip-hop choreography to the stage with his debut of “FORMALITY LIVE!” A collection of his most impressive pieces packed with theatrical elements.
THIRD NIGHT: MARY GRACE MCNALLY
Friday, January 17th at 8pm
Mary Grace McNally, founder of MG + Artists and the 2018 Capezio A.C.E. Awards winner, will premiere “When it Falls.” The performers will “examine the way in which we navigate our changing selves, in an ever-shifting world” in this must-see show.
FINAL NIGHT: RUDY ABREU & JA COLLECTIVE
Saturday, January 18th at 8pm
World-class choreographer Rudy Abreu will premiere his new work, “The Overthinker”. He will take the stage with his all-male company (Embodiment) and all-female company (Radiance). An exclusive opening performance by JA Collective (co-directed by Jordan Johnson and Aidan Carberry) will also be featured at this year’s festival.
